Sebastian and Beatrice Granville dated for a time, but it was a strained relationship. So as Sebastian's and Beatrice's relationship fell apart, he became interested in the new girl on campus, Sophie Fields. Pursuing a relationship with Sophie proved to be complicated, due to the current vampiric rules on dating, as well as Sophie suspecting he murdered her brother (along with suspecting just about everyone else on campus), however Sebastian was not deterred so easily.
